Hands-on workshop on cardiac anatomy using human heart specimens at Amsterdam Skills Centre
Day 2
iCMR in practice
Live cases iCMR ablations at Amsterdam UMC
Day 3
iCMR in practice part 2
Hands-on iCMR device tracking and navigation on phantom set-up at Amsterdam UMC
The morning will consist of a first introduction to iCMR. You will get a first impression of the team play, workflow, and logistics and how these elements relate to iCMR procedures.
In the afternoon we will go to the skills lab where you will get a hands-on introduction to cardiac anatomy and heart specimens.
We will end the day with drinks.
On the second day, you will be split up into two groups. Group A will have lectures in the morning about navigation & mapping and lesion imaging during iCMR procedures. Group B will start the day off with a live case of MRI-guided ablation in the Amsterdam UMC!
In the afternoon the two groups will switch. Group A will experience a live case of MRI-guided ablation in the Amsterdam UMC, whereas group B will have lectures about navigation & mapping and lesion imaging during iCMR procedures.
We will end the day together with a joint dinner.
On the last day group A will start with lectures about electrical signals & MRI, such as ECG recordings and artifacts & filtering. Group B will start with a hands-on, interactive program at the MRI scanner consisting of scanner preparation, image planes, real-time scanning, and device navigation in a phantom.
In the afternoon groups A and B will be switched. Group A will have the hands-on, interactive program and Group B will end with lectures about electrical signals & MRI.
At the end of day three, you will have the freedom to explore Amsterdam for yourself! Go for a guided boat trip on the canals and learn about the history of Amsterdam. Maybe you want to get a picture with 'De Nachtwacht'. You can also go for the real Dutch experience and rent a bike!
